Good morning, welcome to the dedicated Arsenal live blog. Unfortunately, Tottenham couldn’t do the Gunners any favours in the title race.

Ange Postecoglou had a meltdown over how the game was treated in some quarters, describing it is as “48 hours that revealed to me that the foundations [of this club] are fairly fragile.” That wasn’t able to help Arsenal as Manchester City moved back to the top of the Premier League.

Only an unprecedented final-day turnaround will leave Mikel Arteta’s side as champions now. They must prepare to take on Everton at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday with the hope that West Ham can take points from City.

In other news, the world of transfers is hotting up. Arsenal are expected to be extremely busy in the summer for ins and outs with a host of squad players likely to be sold. Emile Smith Rowe, Aaron Ramsdale, and Eddie Nketiah are among them.

Kylian Mbappe is a name on the lips of many after his new destination was comically ‘confirmed’ online by Youtuber iShowSpeed. We’ll bring you all of this and much more throughout the day.

Man City 115 charges and points deduction reality

Arsenal’s Premier League title hopes are hanging by a thread. They remain out of Mikel Arteta’s control, though anything other than a final-day victory over Everton is expected to be thoroughly punished by Manchester City anyway.

After Pep Guardiola’s side notched up their ninth domestic win in a row, the eighth in the league, by beating Tottenham on Tuesday, even Arsenal’s best efforts look like it won’t be enough. The game in north London had been billed as the last chance for the odds turn back in favour of the Gunners.

City now know that all they need to do is beat West Ham at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday to secure a fourth title in a row. Only two years ago they had a similar situation on the final day against Aston Villa and went 2-0 down only to come back miraculously to lift the trophy. They have history with that sort of thing. Sergio Aguero, anyone?

Mikel Arteta warned of Kylian Mbappe issue

Former Arsenal defender William Gallas has claimed that signing Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe would be a detriment to the Gunners if he was to arrive at the Emirates Stadium in the summer transfer window.

Mikel Arteta’s side have been loosely linked as a potential destination for the 25-year-old who announced he would be leaving the French capital at the end of this season as a free agent when his current deal expires. While there’s no confirmed details about where he’ll end up next, La Liga giants Real Madrid are the heavy favourites to put pen to paper.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side are likely to be one of only a few teams across Europe that can afford his astronomical wages, which are rumoured to stack up to around £60m a year, a figure that has essentially ruled out a move over the English Channel to the Premier League.
