Auburn, AL – Auburn Tigers head coach Bryan Harsin’s contract has come under intense scrutiny as boosters and alumni demand changes to the terms of his deal.
According to sources close to the program, Harsin’s contract, which runs through 2026, includes a significant buyout clause that would require the university to pay out millions of dollars if he were to be terminated.
However, with the team’s struggles on the field and growing discontent among fans and boosters, there are increasing calls for Auburn to re-evaluate Harsin’s contract and consider making changes.
“Bryan Harsin is a great coach, but his contract is a major obstacle to making any changes,” said one prominent booster. “We need to find a way to restructure his deal so that we can move forward and get this program back on track.”
Auburn athletic director Allen Greene has thus far declined to comment on Harsin’s contract, but sources indicate that the university is exploring options for renegotiating the deal.
Harsin, who is in his second season at Auburn, has come under fire for the team’s poor performance, including a disappointing loss to rival Alabama.
As the pressure continues to mount, it remains to be seen whether Harsin will be able to turn things around and save his job, or if Auburn will be forced to make a change.
