Following Super Bowl LIX, Alabama A&M University made a historic announcement by debuting a new institutional commercial during the game.
This 30-second spot, the first of a national TV campaign, celebrates the university’s 150th anniversary and highlights the vibrant student experience at AAMU. The ad features students, faculty, and staff, with narration by Faith Gatson, the 74th Miss Alabama A&M University.
Beyond its Super Bowl debut, the commercial will be utilized across various marketing platforms, events, and broadcasts to further amplify the AAMU brand.
In addition to this milestone, former Alabama players made significant contributions in Super Bowl LIX. Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, who began his collegiate career at Alabama before transferring to Oklahoma, was named Super Bowl LIX Most Valuable Player.
He became the first former Alabama player to win the MVP award since Joe Namath in Super Bowl III.
Furthermore, Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith, another Alabama alumnus, made history by becoming the first player drafted out of Alabama to score a touchdown in a Super Bowl. His 46-yard touchdown reception from Hurts was a highlight of the game.
These achievements underscore the significant impact of Alabama’s football program on the professional stage and highlight the university’s ongoing contributions to both athletics and academia.
