The Tennessee Volunteers football program has announced the hiring of former Vols defensive end, Jackson-Cine, as the team’s new defensive end coach.
Jackson-Cine, a fan favorite during his playing days on Rocky Top, returns to Knoxville after a successful NFL career and coaching stints at the collegiate and professional levels.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Jackson-Cine back to the Tennessee family,” said Vols head coach Josh Heupel. “His passion, expertise, and familiarity with our program make him an ideal fit for our coaching staff.”
As a player, Jackson-Cine was a key contributor to the Vols’ defensive line, earning All-SEC honors and helping the team win several bowl games. After his collegiate career, he went on to play in the NFL for several seasons.
Jackson-Cine’s coaching experience includes stints as a defensive line coach in the NFL and at several Power Five programs. He’s known for his ability to develop talented defensive linemen and his expertise in creating game-changing pass rush schemes.
“I’m honored to return to my alma mater and contribute to the success of the Tennessee football program,” said Jackson-Cine. “I’m excited to work with Coach Heupel and the rest of the staff to help our defensive ends reach their full potential.”
The hiring of Jackson-Cine is a significant addition to the Vols’ coaching staff, and his presence is expected to have an immediate impact on the team’s defensive line.
