David Raya sends three word message to Arsenal target Ivan Toney after his goal for England last night

Ivan Toney made the headlines last night as England drew 2-2 against Belgium, and Arsenal star David Raya has sent him a message.

The Three Lions went into the game in search of a win after they were beaten by Brazil last weekend.

Declan Rice was handed the England captaincy in Harry Kane‘s absence, and all eyes were on the Gunners midfielder. But, it was an Arsenal target who made the headlines with his goal – Toney.

Raya, who has played with the striker in the past, sent him a message on Instagram.

Arsenal’s David Raya sends message to Ivan Toney

David Raya had a tricky start to his Arsenal career.

The Spaniard replaced fan-favourite Aaron Ramsdale at the Emirates, and his early performances were far from convincing. That led to a ton of criticism.

However, since the turn of the year, Raya has arguably been the best goalkeeper in the Premier League, and he has played a big part in helping the Gunners stay at the top of the table.

Arsenal fans love Raya, and the goalkeeper has now sent a message to one of Mikel Arteta’s transfer targets for this summer transfer window – Ivan Toney.

The £60 million-rated Englishman scored his first-ever goal for England last night. He won the penalty and converted it brilliantly. Jude Bellingham even called him the ‘Ice Man’ for his calmness from the spot.

Now, Raya has hailed Toney with a message on Instagram.

Under Toney’s latest post, the Arsenal goalkeeper wrote: “Never in doubt!”

A look at Ivan Toney’s incredible penalty record

If you’re a striker on penalty duty, you are expected to score every spot kick you take. However, that’s easier said than done.

We’ve seen the best players in the world take and miss penalties over the years. It can happen to anyone and Ivan Toney has experienced it too.

However, the Brentford star’s record from the spot is really impressive.

Toney has been taking penalties since October 2015. Out of a total of 32 spot kicks, he has converted 30, which is a tremendous record.
