Texas A&M continued to strengthen its receiving corps with the commitment of Mississippi State transfer wide receiver Mario Craver on Tuesday, per On3′s Hayes Fawcett. The freshman chose the Aggies over LSU, Alabama and Florida State.
Craver is A&M’s fifth addition through the transfer portal and joins Texas Tech freshman WR Micah Hudson, a former five-star recruit that committed on Sunday. The Aggies also signed five-star WR Jerome Myles this month to headline their seventh-ranked 2025 signing class, according to 247Sports.
The Birmingham, Ala. native appeared in nine games for the Bulldogs while reportedly dealing with injuries. He reeled in 17 receptions for 368 yards and three touchdowns. The 5-10, 170-pound Craver had a season-high five catches against the Aggies on Oct. 19, picking up 42 yards and a touchdown in a 34-24 A&M victory. Mississippi State went 2-10 and 0-8 in conference play in its first season under coach Jeff Lebby.
A&M looks to build upon a passing attack that struggled to establish itself this season, ranking 13th in the SEC and 93rd in the nation with 203.5 yards per game. The Aggies caught 16 touchdown passes, led by junior WR Noah Thomas’ 34 receptions for 545 yards and six scores.
The No. 35 player in the transfer portal, according to 247Sports, Craver joins the Aggies with three years of eligibility remaining to help reconstruct a receivers’ unit including Thomas, Hudson, Myles and freshman athlete Terry Bussey.
