The Arizona Cardinals have made their final moves to complete their initial practice squad for the upcoming season. The team announced the signings of wide receiver Andre Baccellia, linebacker Chandler Wooten, and defensive lineman Manny Jones, bringing the total number of players on the practice squad to 16.
Filling the Final Spots
After making several moves earlier in the week, the Cardinals had a few remaining spots to fill on their practice squad. With the additions of Baccellia, Wooten, and Jones, the team has now completed their initial practice squad.
“We’re excited to have these players join our practice squad,” said Cardinals general manager Steve Keim. “They’ll have the opportunity to develop and grow with our team, and we’re looking forward to seeing their progress.”
Andre Baccellia
Baccellia, a 6-foot-1 wide receiver, spent time with the Cardinals during training camp before being released. He played college football at Washington and has also spent time with the Los Angeles Chargers.
Chandler Wooten
Wooten, a 6-foot-2 linebacker, was signed by the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent in May. He played college football at Auburn and has impressed coaches with his speed and agility.
Manny Jones
Jones, a 6-foot-4 defensive lineman, was signed by the Cardinals after being released by the Chicago Bears. He played college football at Colorado State and has also spent time with the New England Patriots.
Practice Squad Complete
With the additions of Baccellia, Wooten, and Jones, the Cardinals’ practice squad is now complete. The team will begin practicing next week, and these players will have the opportunity to develop and grow with the team.
In addition to the signings, the Cardinals also made a few roster moves. The team released defensive lineman Antwaun Woods and linebacker Kylie Fitts, making room for the new additions.
The Cardinals will begin their season in just a few weeks, and these practice squad players will play an important role in the team’s success. With a strong practice squad in place, the Cardinals are looking forward to a successful season.
“We’re excited about the potential of our practice squad,” said Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury. “These players will have the opportunity to develop and grow with our team, and we’re looking forward to seeing their progress.”
