Asenal are reportedly keen on signing 20-year-old RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko in the summer transfer window.

According to TEAMtalk, Arsenal are hoping to sign Benjamin Sesko in the summer transfer window, and they will face competition from Chelsea. The Gunners have reportedly scheduled talks with RB Leipzig for the talented young striker, who will cost around €65 million.

Benjamin Sesko has been in impressive form this season, scoring 17 goals across all competitions. He could prove to be a quality acquisition for Arsenal if the Gunners can get the deal done.It is no secret that they will need to bring in a quality striker at the end of the season and have set their sights on the Slovenian international.

Gabriel Jesus has been quite underwhelming, and the Brazilian will need to be replaced in the summer transfer window. Arsenal cannot expect to win major trophies with Jesus leading the line for them. He has scored just four times in the league this season, and Arsenal need a more reliable goalscorer.

Sesko could develop into a quality striker

Benjamin Sesko is quite young, but he has shown his quality in the Bundesliga. The 20-year-old has the attributes to develop into a top class striker with the right guidance. Arsenal could help him improve and fulfil his world class potential.

The reported €65 million asking price might come across as a premium but the Slovenian striker certainly has the potential to justify the investment in the coming years. Meanwhile, Chelsea need to sign a quality striker as well.

Nicolas Jackson has been quite underwhelming, although he has improved in recent weeks. However, the Blues will need to bring in an upgrade on the Senegalese international. It will be interesting to see if they can beat Arsenal and secure the services of the Slovenian striker.

Both clubs have an exciting project, but Arsenal are a club on the up. They have been pushing for the league title since last season and will compete in the UEFA Champions League next term. On the other hand, Chelsea have missed out on Champions League qualification, and top quality players might not be keen on joining a club without European football. It is fair to assume that Arsenal might be a more attractive destination for him.
