Jadon Sancho’s future at Manchester United is up in the air after he fell out with boss Erik ten Hag, though the winger has revived his career on loan at Borussia Dortmund

Arsenal have been urged to make a blockbuster move for Jadon Sancho this summer.

Sancho’s time as a Manchester United player appears to be over after he fell out with boss Erik ten Hag following September’s defeat at Arsenal. The winger was sent out on loan to Borussia Dortmund, where he has recaptured his form.

The 24-year-old has scored three goals and notched two assists to help Dortmund reach the Champions League final. His future is set to be a hot topic over the course of the summer transfer window.

With United ready to sell, a number of suitors could emerge, with Arsenal now being urged to be one of them. Former Gunners star Emmanuel Petit has hailed Sancho as being ‘dynamite’ and insisted he is the perfect player for Mikel Arteta’s side.

“I was saying how impressed I was with Jadon Sancho in the Champions League on commentary – he looks like a new player, so fit, thin and explosive. He’s like dynamite on the pitch, so explosive on the ball, so hard to catch,” he told Grosvenor Sport.

“He’s back to his best and Man United look so far away from them, so if Arsenal want him, why not? You can put the best player in the world at Man United at the moment and they’d look average in two months.

“This is easily the worst Man United side I’ve ever seen – so many average players and Casemiro looks so poor. It must be so hard to be a Man United fan when you see the history of the club. They must be thinking: ‘What is going on?’”

United boss Ten Hag is remaining tight-lipped on Sancho’s future prospects at Old Trafford. The Dutchman also revealed that Red Devils chiefs have flown over to Germany to watch the winger in action.

“We are close in that process. We are visiting games, [I] will not say all the games, but we have seen more games from Dortmund where Jadon was performing,” Ten Hag said.

“We had a visit with him, we talked with him, and we will keep going with this process. There was a conflict and let’s finish the season first. So stay away from this issue now – it is not important.
