Arsenal are now just two points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool following the Gunners 6-0 victory over Sheffield United on Monday. Attention now turns to Saturday when Mikel Arteta’s side entertain Brentford at Emirates Stadium.

A win would see Arsenal go top, with Liverpool and Manchester City clashing at Anfield on Sunday. Arteta does have fitness concerns, however, as both Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli were taken off at Bramall Lane.

Saka was brought off at half-time and was seen shaking his head to the Arsenal physio but did return to the bench before the full-time whistle. Martinelli, meanwhile, hopped off the field with the help of two members of the Arsenal staff and is suffering with a “slight cut”.

Elsewhere, former Gunners midfielder Matteo Guendouzi has insisted he has “no regrets” about his time in north London. Looking further ahead, Arsenal face Porto next week in the Champions League round of 16 second leg and the Portuguese side have somewhat of an advantage going into the fixture.
