Arsenal vs Brentford highlights: Kai Havertz sends Gunners top after dramatic late winner’s live coverage of Arsenal vs Brentford in the Premier League from the Emirates Stadium as Mikel Arteta looks go top of the table.

Arsenal take on Brentford in the Premier League at the Emirates Stadium.

Hello and welcome to’s live blog covering Arsenal’s Premier League match with Brentford from the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners are hoping to go top of the table before Liverpool face Manchester City on Sunday.

Arsenal meanwhile are aware that a pivotal clash with FC Porto in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night is in such close proximity, meaning Mikel Arteta will need to balance the minutes of his squad whilst trying to maximise performance. He has several players too that are potential doubts.

Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli face a race against time to make the team whilst there is also raised eyebrows over when Oleksandr Zinchenko, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Jurrien Timber might get involved. Meanwhile, Brentford are also facing key issues.

Ben Mee, Ethan Pinnock, Rico Henry and Aaron Hickey, the Bees’ arguable back four are all out. However, there is good news for Thomas Frank in that Ivan Toney will be fit to start the game as he visits the ground where he scored the controversial equaliser last season which VAR should have ruled out for offside.

Arsenal will need to take the game away from the officials and win it regardless of the decisions made on the day with Aaron Ramsdale coming into the team for his first start with David Raya ineligible to play. Tom Canton and Kaya Kaynak will be bringing all the build-up, match coverage and commentary from the Emirates Stadium, with updates to follow.
