As Real Madrid get set to face arch-rivals FC Barcelona later this weekend, former Blaugrana star Cesc Fabregas has lavished praise on Jude Bellingham.

The 20-year-old Englishman has made a blistering start to life as a Real Madrid player since joining the club during the summer transfer window.

In 11 appearances thus far, Bellingham has netted ten goals and set up three more and has been key to Real Madrid’s solid start to the campaign.

And Fabregas has earmarked the England international as one to watch out for in the first El Clasico of the season on Saturday, praising the Real Madrid ace for his mentality and attitude.

Speaking on DAZN (h/t Mundo Deportivo), the former Barcelona, Arsenal, and Chelsea midfielder said:

“I’ve heard very good things about him. He’s a boy with a very, very daring personality, an attitude that’s out of the ordinary for his age…”

“From what I’ve been told about him, he has a very good mentality when it comes to competing, not being afraid of anything and he’s showing it.”

Echoing the sentiments of several other former footballers and pundits, Fabregas also went on to claim that Bellingham will mark an era at Real Madrid, saying:

“If you’re at a club like Madrid or Barcelona, you have to prove yourself every day or every three days, playing, competing… I see him as very capable of making his mark at Real Madrid.”

Real Madrid face Barcelona at Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys on October 28 in the first El Clasico of the season.

Even though the Catalans have been hit hard by injuries, the game will be anything but easy and Los Blancos will need Bellingham at his best on the evening in Catalonia.
