Real Madrid target demanding €13 million plus bonuses to renew with Bayern Munich – report

Alphonso Davies is one of the clearer transfer targets Real Madrid have in mind heading into the summer transfer window.

There may be uncertainty over the target for the forward line, but the Canadian international is the management’s top choice to reinforce the left-back position.

Over the past few months, the Merengues have been in constant contact with the defender’s entourage, prompting him to turn down Bayern Munich’s renewal proposals to force a move to Spain.

The German champions, however, have not backed off and are placing lucrative proposals on his table.

The agent factor

As revealed by the German kicker (h/t RM4Arab), Bayern Munich officials believe that Davies’ agent is playing a key role in the transfer saga. They feel he is the one managing his client’s ideas in light of Real Madrid’s interest in him.

The report furthers that Davies requested €13 million annually in addition to bonuses from Bayern Munich for a renewal, but the club are unwilling to meet his demands. They see it to be an uphill demand.

The report contradicts the update from last week which furthered that Davies was close to a renewal with Bayern Munich. It remains to be seen how the situation evolves in the coming week.

Davies agent as a vocal spokesperson

Davies’ agent, Nedal Huoseh, had a key role in igniting rumours of his client’s move to Real Madrid last year when he openly discussed the Canadian’s close bond with David Alaba.

More recently, however, he came out to refute talks of a transfer and stressed the fact that Davies was happy in Germany.

“That’s inaccurate. Right now, Phonzy is at Bayern Munich, that’s where his focus is,” he said in a recent interview.

It remains to be seen which direction the youngster’s future heads in, especially considering that Madrid do not wish to spoil relationships with the German giants in the process
