Real Madrid’s 3-2 win over Almeria was a hard-fought victory and it came at the cost of Jude Bellingham receiving his fifth yellow card of the season. This means the England international will serve his one-match suspension when Real Madrid face Las Palmas away from home.

Building up to the story, Spanish publication MARCA has affirmed that Carlo Ancelotti has decided to use Brahim Diaz to replace the suspended Bellingham. The manager is of the idea that the best position for Brahim is as an attacking midfielder, where Bellingham operates.

Brahim will not want Madrid to miss Bellingham

The former Manchester City and Milan winger will want to let the fans forget about Bellingham, who plays a key role in both attack and defence, just for this game, as the Englishman brings a perfect balance within the team.

In La Liga, Bellingham has recovered 73 balls, averaging 4.29 recoveries per game. He ranks third in ball recoveries after Federico Valverde and Toni Kroos within the team.

Meanwhile, it is to be noted that when Real Madrid took on Las Palmas earlier this season, Bellingham was left out of the starting XI as the manager wanted him to rest for the next set of matches.

In that game, Brahim started for Madrid for the first time and made a significant impact by scoring a goal and contributing to the game despite having shoulder discomfort.

Brahim has Ancelotti’s confidence

It is evident that despite a difficult start at Real Madrid, Brahim has won over Ancelotti by earning his favour because he is eager to work more.

At the beginning of the season, things didn’t look great for him, but he stayed patient, waited for his chance, and turned things around by scoring six goals across all competitions.

His strong energy whenever he plays on the field has given him the opportunity to be an important player for the team and be Bellingham’s backup. So far, he has played 23 games this season but hasn’t clocked 1000 minutes yet.
