A Legendary Playing Career
Smith’s playing career spans 15 seasons, including stints with the Minnesota Lynx, Detroit Shock, and Washington Mystics. She won two WNBA championships with the Detroit Shock (2003, 2006) and was named the WNBA Finals MVP in 2006.
Coaching Background
Smith began her coaching career as an assistant with the New York Liberty (2014-2017) before becoming the head coach of the Liberty (2018-2019). She also served as an assistant coach for the USA Women’s National Team.
