The Ottawa Senators have announced plans to conduct part of their training camp and play two pre-season games in Quebec City in September 2025. The games are scheduled against the New Jersey Devils on September 28 and the Montreal Canadiens on September 30 at the Videotron Centre.
During their four-day stay in Quebec City, the Senators will engage in team-building activities, hold public practices, and participate in community initiatives. Team owner Michael Andlauer expressed that this trip will not only allow the players to complete their preseason preparations but also offer them an opportunity to experience the city’s beauty.
Quebec City was previously home to the NHL’s Quebec Nordiques from 1979 to 1995 before the team relocated to Denver to become the Colorado Avalanche.
This initiative marks a significant return of NHL action to Quebec City, rekindling the city’s rich hockey heritage.
