The Utah Hockey Club is engaging fans in selecting a permanent team name after narrowing the options to three finalists:
- Utah Hockey Club: Maintaining the current name, emphasizing the state’s identity.
- Utah Mammoth: Reflecting strength and resilience, symbolized by the mammoth.
- Utah Wasatch: Honoring the Wasatch Mountains, central to Utah’s geography and culture.
The initial preferred name, “Utah Yeti,” was abandoned due to trademark conflicts with Yeti Coolers.
Fans attending the next four home games at the Delta Center can vote for their preferred name using iPads provided at the venue. The final name and logo will be unveiled before the 2025-26 NHL season.
This initiative underscores the team’s commitment to involving fans in shaping its identity.
